The men’s quarterfinals took place on Wednesday and Thursday as part of the Masters in Miami. An 18-year-old Carlos Alcaraz made it to the top four in the second Masters. He beat Miomir Kecmanovic in three sets (6:7 (5), 6:3, 7:6 (5)).
Francisco Cerundolo (#103 ATP) became the lowest-ranked tennis player in the history of the semifinals of this tournament. He passed Jannik Sinner in the only set as the Italian refused to continue after the score was 4:1 in favour of the Argentinian.

At the same time, incumbent champion Hubert Hurkacz did not let Daniil Medvedev to the top of the world rankings (7:6 (7), 6:3). Casper Ruud passed another favourite of the event – the German Alexander Zverev. The Norwegian made it in three sets – 6:3, 1:6, and 6:3.
