Dominic Thiem announced court return for Estoril Open

The Austrian tennis player and former #3 of ATP rankings, Dominic Thiem, announced his return to court after a covid illness, which he got in Marbella.

With 17 ATP-tour titles during his career and US Open 2020 in the pocket, Dominic will debut in Estoril. Although the event isn’t ranked high, some of the great competitors will participate there, including Auger-Aliassime, Norrie, Schwartzman, and the reigning champion of the event – Ramos-Vinolas.

Being dropped out of top-50 at the moment, Thiem will try to find his best shape before two grand slam events in summer – Wimbledon and US Open. Making a comeback in Portugal looks like a great decision as the local clay court is the favourite cover for the Austrian. Want to know more about tennis and don’t miss the important news?
