Shapovalov released from quarantine after infection with COVID-19 in Australia


The 14th racket of the world, Canadian Denis Shapovalov, recovered from the coronavirus, which he contracted after arriving in Sydney, Australia.

22-year-old Shapovalov has already come out of quarantine and can start training before participating in the Australian Open.

Previously, Shapovalov took part in an exhibition tournament in Abu Dhabi. A whole group of players who attended the tournament in the UAE have contracted the coronavirus. Among them: Ons Jabeur, Emma Raducanu, Rafael Nadal, and Belinda Bencic. The ATP Cup will take place in Sydney from January 1st to 9th. The Australian Open kicks off on January 17 in Melbourne.
